Terms of Use
These terms govern your use of djforest (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. The Service
djforest is a link-in-bio page builder and a music-focused social feed for artists and fans. The Service is currently offered free of charge and in an early-access state; features may change, break, or be removed.
2. Eligibility & accounts
- You must be old enough to consent to data processing in your country (in the EU, generally 16, or with a guardian’s consent).
- You are responsible for your account, your login, and all activity under it.
- Provide accurate information and keep your access credentials secure.
3. Your content
You retain all rights to the content you create, upload, or link (pages, posts, images, embeds). You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, store, display, and distribute that content solely to operate the Service (e.g. showing your page to visitors and your posts in followers’ feeds). This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies retained briefly in backups or required by law.
You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to everything you publish, including any music, artwork, or media you link or embed.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- post unlawful, infringing, hateful, harassing, or deceptive content;
- impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation;
- upload malware or attempt to disrupt, overload, or reverse-engineer the Service;
- scrape, harvest, or bulk-collect other users’ data; or
- circumvent access controls or use the Service in violation of applicable law.
We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these terms.
5. Third-party services & content
The Service integrates and embeds third-party platforms (e.g. SoundCloud, Bandcamp, YouTube, Spotify, Mixcloud, Vimeo, Apple Music). Your use of those is also subject to their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party content, availability, or practices.
6. Intellectual property
The Service’s own software, design, and branding are protected by applicable law. Open-source components are used under their respective licences — see the licenses page.
7. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that content will be preserved.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are liable only for intent and gross negligence, and — in the case of a breach of an essential contractual duty — for ordinary negligence limited to the foreseeable, typical damage. Mandatory liability (e.g. under product-liability law or for injury to life, body, or health) remains unaffected.
9. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms or where required to protect the Service or other users.
10. Changes
We may update these terms as the Service evolves. Material changes will be made available here; continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
11. Governing law & contact
German law applies, excluding its conflict-of-law rules and without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection law of your country of residence. Contact: laurenz.bareiss@posteo.de.
